Experimental Jazz between Baritone Saxophone, Bass, and Drums

The 34th Kassel Jazz Fest brings the SUBSYSTEM & Heinrich Köbberling Berlin trio to the Kulturbunker Kassel. On November 7, 2026, an experimental jazz program will take center stage, focusing on an unusual yet clearly defined ensemble: baritone saxophone, double bass, and drums.

The deep, distinctive sound of the baritone saxophone meets the earthy resonance of the double bass and the rhythmic work of the drums. In this chamber music-like trio formation, space is created for concentrated interaction and open musical expression. The concert is aimed at everyone who wants to experience jazz in an experimental, reduced setup.

Experimental Jazz in the Kulturbunker
