Classical sounds meet live beats and minimal grooves

With the concert „Stairwell Orchestra: Disco“, the Stairwell Orchestra opens the Kassel Music Days 2026. The evening at the documenta Hall Kassel combines acoustic sound colors with modern rhythmic elements, thus marking a special start for the festival.

The focus is on a musical concept between classical instruments, live beats, and minimal grooves. The combination of these different sound worlds shapes the character of the concert and makes the performance a genre-crossing musical experience. Classical instruments meet live-generated beats and reduced, recurring grooves.

Opening of the Kassel Music Days

The concert marks the opening of the Kassel Music Days and takes place in the documenta Hall Kassel. The venue provides the framework for an acoustic concert where the music and the interplay of the various elements are at the forefront.

The title “Disco” refers to the rhythmic orientation of the evening without compromising the acoustic character of the concert. The Stairwell Orchestra combines the energy of live beats with the sound world of classical instruments, creating a musical evening between concert hall, groove, and reduced movement.
