Piano Music Between Water Images, Art, and Music History

Water Games – Musical Water Plays connects music with art and music historical impulses on October 14, 2026, in Kassel. The concert evening begins at 6:00 PM and will take place at Palais Bellevue – Remise, Schönen Aussicht 2.

The focus will be on piano works by Claude Debussy, Franz Liszt, and other composers. The title "Water Games" refers to the musical engagement with the element of water and forms the thematic framework for a program that links concert music with historical and art-related considerations.

Music and Art Historical Perspectives

The event is aimed at everyone who wants to not only listen to piano music but also place it in an art and music historical context. Between musical contributions or as part of the evening, the works will receive supplementary impulses. Thus, a connection arises between concentrated concert attendance and substantive engagement with the presented compositions.

The mentioned works by Debussy and Liszt promise different musical perspectives. The program is complemented by piano works from other composers. Which specific pieces will be performed and in what order is not indicated in the available event information.
