Landruf(t) at the Fuldaufer: An outdoor exhibition that redefines nature and art

With Landruf(t), an artistic experience is being created in Baunatal-Guntershausen that radically opens the exhibition space: directly under the open sky, on the meadow by the Fuldaufer at Alex' Ruh. For four weeks, works by seven artists, as well as pieces from students of the Theodor-Heuss-Schule, meet wind, weather, and the changing landscape here.

Art in dialogue with landscape and time

The exhibition places the relationship between humans and nature in the spotlight. Sculptural, site-specific, and nature-related works unfold their impact not in closed spaces, but in interplay with light, moisture, soil, and air. This is the unique strength of this project: Each viewing of a work becomes an aesthetic experience of change.

An open museum without walls

The presentation follows a curatorial idea that connects Land Art, installation, and publicly accessible art. What is shown here does not remain static. The exhibits respond to the surroundings, are further shaped by the weather, and develop their own, processual language of forms over the duration. Those who visit the exhibition multiple times will experience different stages of the same works.

Community, education, and cultural participation

The educational and social approach is also remarkable. The cooperation between KulturNetz Kassel, the city of Baunatal, LOK Verein Guntershausen, and local associations creates a dense cultural fabric. Workshops during the exhibition duration, along with the participation of the Theodor-Heuss-Schule, anchor the project in cultural education and make art an experiential communal process.

A place on the bike path, open to all

The location on the R1 and Eco Path makes Landruf(t) an easily accessible destination for walkers, cyclists, and art enthusiasts. The open, nature-close environment enhances the impact of the works and creates a quiet, yet concentrated exhibition atmosphere. Those who engage with this place discover art not as a finished presentation, but as a living dialogue with space and movement.

Conclusion: Landruf(t) promises a rare form of outdoor exhibition, where contemporary art, landscape, and community intertwine. Visitors can expect a multi-layered art experience with change, openness, and sensual presence. A visit on-site is certainly worthwhile because this exhibition only unfolds its full power through direct experience.
