The AktionsTheaterKassel transports the audience into the world of absurd theater with 'FANDO AND LIS'. This special production will be shown at the venue Südflügel in the Kulturbahnhof, a perfectly suitable place for the intense engagement with the complex themes of the piece. The performances, which take place in late summer, offer a unique opportunity to grapple with questions of the search for meaning and existential despair. The author, Fernando Arrabal, is regarded as one of the most significant representatives of this theater form and has been celebrated worldwide for his innovative approaches.
The play takes us to the edge of society and invites the audience to reflect on the relationships and journey of Fando and Lis as they navigate the search for the mysterious city of Tar in a post-apocalyptic space. The production emphasizes the absurdity of human actions and desires with a bold use of physical representation and surprising scene changes.
