Elisabeth Hospital Kassel | Emergency Room & Parking

The Elisabeth Hospital Kassel at Weinbergstraße 7 is a facility with a long history and a clear present: a historically grown hospital that today combines acute medicine, specialized clinics, outpatient services, and support for patients and visitors. Those searching for Elisabeth Hospital Kassel, phone number, emergency room, or parking usually want very specific help, quick orientation, and reliable information. This overview stands for exactly that. The hospital sees itself as an emergency hospital in the heart of Kassel and is also a teaching hospital of the University of Southampton. Since January 1, 2025, it has been part of the Marien-Elisabeth Clinics Kassel gGmbH under Vinzenz gGmbH, Fulda. This connects the location with medical care, Christian values, and professional structures in a very central city hospital. ([elisabeth-krankenhaus-kassel.de](https://elisabeth-krankenhaus-kassel.de/kliniken-zentren/fachkliniken/klinik-fuer-anaesthesiologie-intensiv-und-notfallmedizin/?utm_source=openai))

Content-wise, the profile is broadly positioned and very relevant for typical search queries related to a hospital in Kassel: Central emergency room, cardiology, breast center, general and visceral surgery, trauma surgery and orthopedics, urology, ENT, MVZ, nursing, as well as various diagnostic and therapeutic areas. Practical topics such as underground parking, admission, visiting hours, Café Elisabeth, wards, and functional areas are also included. Therefore, to understand the location, one needs not only medical facts but also information about routes, times, contacts, and points of contact. The following sections organize these topics according to search intent and relevance. Emergency Room and Acute Care at Elisabeth Hospital Kassel

The emergency room is one of the most important anchor points of the hospital. On the official page for anesthesiology, intensive and emergency medicine, Elisabeth Hospital Kassel describes itself as an emergency hospital in the heart of Kassel and as a central point of contact for acute and emergency care in the city. This is particularly relevant for patients because, in such situations, it is not the specialty department that matters first, but the quick initial assessment, structured referral, and interdisciplinary care. The page regarding arrival at the hospital also makes it clear that emergency patients are received directly in the Central Emergency Room and are initially treated there. The emergency room can be reached in case of emergency at 0561 7201-112. ([elisabeth-krankenhaus-kassel.de](https://elisabeth-krankenhaus-kassel.de/kliniken-zentren/fachkliniken/klinik-fuer-anaesthesiologie-intensiv-und-notfallmedizin/?utm_source=openai))

The profile of the associated specialized departments also fits acute care. The trauma surgery and orthopedics department is available 24 hours a day for injured patients, works with modern diagnostics such as ultrasound, X-ray, computed tomography, and MRI, and is integrated as a certified local trauma center into the trauma network Göttingen-Kassel. For cardiology, the hospital was also confirmed as a Cardiac Arrest Center in September 2025. Together with cardiology, the modern cardiac catheter laboratories, and the quick emergency structure, a location is created that is resilient in both internal and surgical emergencies. This is particularly important for search queries like emergency room, cardiology team, or doctors in the hospital, as not only a name is sought there, but also competence, accessibility, and responsiveness. Parking, Access, and Patient Admission at Weinbergstraße

The address of Elisabeth Hospital Kassel is Weinbergstraße 7, 34117 Kassel. The official contact provides the phone number (0561) 7201-0 and the fax number (0561) 7201-611; admission to the hospital takes place through the main entrance, where the reception and patient registration are located on the ground floor. For queries related to access, phone number, and admission, this is the most important basis. The admission times for outpatient and inpatient patients are also clearly regulated: Monday and Tuesday from 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Wednesday and Thursday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Outside these hours, assistance is provided at the reception. Those arriving well-prepared should bring their insurance card, hospital referral, medication plan, and, if applicable, allergy passport and findings. ([elisabeth-krankenhaus-kassel.de](https://elisabeth-krankenhaus-kassel.de/kontakt/?utm_source=openai))

Regarding parking, the official stay page provides a very concrete hint: Directly at the hospital, there are 60 paid parking spaces available in an underground garage. For patients with an appointment in a practice of the MVZ, it is additionally required that the parking ticket be stamped there to prove the visit; the fee is paid at the hospital's reception. This directly answers the most important search intents such as parking, parking spaces, and access. For many visitors, it is also helpful that the hospital not only focuses on medical aspects but also on organizational aspects for short distances: central admission, clearly described access points, and an infrastructure that brings together visits, inpatient stays, and outpatient appointments in a compact space. ([elisabeth-krankenhaus-kassel.de](https://elisabeth-krankenhaus-kassel.de/patienten-besucher/ihr-krankenhausaufenthalt/wichtiges-zu-ihrem-aufenthalt/))

Cardiology, Breast Center, Urology, and Other Specialized Clinics

Cardiology is one of the most visible focuses of the hospital. The cardiology clinic explicitly invites you to get to know the team of specialized doctors, the department, and the modern treatment options. The spectrum ranges from non-invasive measures to complex interventional procedures, including cardiac catheter examinations, intravascular ultrasound, flow measurements, electrophysiological examinations, PCI, stent implantations, mitral valve interventions, and the implantation of pacemakers or defibrillators. For search queries related to cardiology team or doctors, it is important that the page describes the hospital as a place of specialized heart medicine where modern diagnostics and interventional therapy converge. The later certification as a Cardiac Arrest Center also underscores this focus. ([elisabeth-krankenhaus-kassel.de](https://elisabeth-krankenhaus-kassel.de/kliniken-zentren/fachkliniken/klinik-fuer-kardiologie/?utm_source=openai))

Another central profile topic is the breast center. The official page describes it as one of the largest breast centers in Germany and as continuously certified since 2006. Additionally, it is integrated into the oncology network of Northern Hesse and cooperates with other partners such as the University Medical Center Göttingen. Thus, the breast center is not just a single specialized department but a medical network for diagnostics, therapy, aftercare, and studies. Urology is also in high demand: The hospital has two urological practices and a urological department with a total of nine specialists for outpatient and inpatient care. The clinic for general and visceral surgery treats diseases of internal organs and operates around the clock at specialist level. Together with the departments of gastroenterology and oncology, as well as the ENT department, a broad spectrum emerges that fits very well into the search logic of urology, breast center, and surgery. ([elisabeth-krankenhaus-kassel.de](https://elisabeth-krankenhaus-kassel.de/kliniken-zentren/medizinische-zentren/brustzentrum/?utm_source=openai))

Surgery, Trauma Surgery, Orthopedics, and the Local Trauma Center

When searching for surgery, orthopedics, or trauma surgery, Elisabeth Hospital Kassel is also well positioned. The clinic for trauma surgery and orthopedics is available 24 hours a day for injured patients and, according to the official page, has a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic equipment, including ultrasound, X-ray, computed tomography, and MRI. Particularly important is the integration as a certified local trauma center in the trauma network Göttingen-Kassel. Additionally, the treatment of workplace accidents is approved through the designated doctor procedure. This shows that it is not only about classic surgeries but also about organized and tiered care for emergencies, cases covered by accident insurance, and planned orthopedic procedures. ([elisabeth-krankenhaus-kassel.de](https://elisabeth-krankenhaus-kassel.de/kliniken-zentren/fachkliniken/klinik-fuer-unfallchirurgie-und-orthopaedie/?utm_source=openai))

The orthopedic orientation also includes the fact that the clinic performs planned surgeries and offers, in cooperation with partners, procedures for hips, knees, shoulders, and hand surgery. In surgical and trauma surgical care, physiotherapy is also an important companion to maintain or restore mobility as much as possible. The official representation emphasizes the minimally invasive approach in many procedures wherever it makes sense and is possible. This is significant for patients because search terms like orthopedics, wards, or doctors are often associated with the question of how closely diagnostics, surgery, aftercare, and rehabilitation are organized at the same location. At Elisabeth Hospital Kassel, this chain is represented by specialized clinics, emergency room, functional diagnostics, physiotherapy, and local collaboration. ([elisabeth-krankenhaus-kassel.de](https://elisabeth-krankenhaus-kassel.de/kliniken-zentren/fachkliniken/klinik-fuer-unfallchirurgie-und-orthopaedie/?utm_source=openai))

Training, Job Offers, and Further Education in Team Elisabeth

In the area of career and training, Elisabeth Hospital Kassel is also very clearly positioned. The official training page promotes training for nursing professionals; the training starts annually on April 1, September 1, and October 1. Additionally, there is training for surgical technical assistants, which starts every year on October 1. The career page also mentions internships, voluntary social year, students, collaborations, and further education for doctors and nursing staff. For search queries like training or job offers, this means: The hospital is not only a provider but also a training and development place with multiple entry points into medical and nursing professions. ([elisabeth-krankenhaus-kassel.de](https://elisabeth-krankenhaus-kassel.de/karriere-mitarbeit/ausbildung-pflegefachfrau-mann/?utm_source=openai))

The job offers page describes the hospital as an employer with various professional groups and offers the possibility for unsolicited applications. Specific framework conditions are also mentioned: The remuneration is according to the AVR of the German Caritas Association, there are 30 days of vacation, capital-forming benefits, and other advantages such as a Germany ticket or job ticket, depending on the area. For nursing further education, the hospital mentions, among other things, specialized nursing in surgical services, intensive and anesthesia care, emergency care, oncology care, breast care nursing, practical instruction, ICW wound management, and specialized care for stoma care. This shows that further education is not seen as an addition but as a fixed pillar of personnel development. Therefore, those searching for the hospital plus job offers or training will find a place that visibly connects training, specialized career paths, and team culture. History, Sponsorship, and Patient Service at Elisabeth Hospital Kassel

The history of Elisabeth Hospital Kassel dates back deep into the 19th century. The chronicle page describes that Hildesheim Vincentians settled in Kassel in 1882. In 1886/87, a dedicated convent for sisters was established at Weinberg, the Elisabeth Convent, and in 1897/98 a new building was erected on an adjacent property, which was opened as Elisabeth Hospital a year later. In 1943, the building was almost completely destroyed in a heavy bombing raid; only the neo-Gothic chapel was preserved and is now a listed building. This was followed by reconstruction, further development, and digitalization, including a step towards a digital hospital in 2017, joining the Elisabeth Vinzenz Network in 2018, and the delivery of an MRI and two state-of-the-art cardiac catheter laboratories in autumn 2024. ([elisabeth-krankenhaus-kassel.de](https://elisabeth-krankenhaus-kassel.de/ueber-uns/geschichtliches/chronik/))

Since January 1, 2025, the hospital has been part of the Marien-Elisabeth Clinics Kassel gGmbH under Vinzenz gGmbH, Fulda. While this is more of a background topic for the search query gGmbH, it explains the current sponsorship structure and the integration into the Vinzenz Group Fulda. In patient service, the hospital is very concrete: Visiting hours are from Monday to Friday from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM and on weekends and holidays from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM; special rules apply for Station 5A. In the entrance area, there is Café Elisabeth with snacks, rolls, cakes, pastries, and drinks, and the in-house kitchen prepares daily full meals, light meals, vegetarian full meals, as well as low-salt and diabetic menus as needed. Additionally, there are pastoral care and chapel, wards and functional areas, patient service, and clear rules regarding smoking and alcohol. This mixture of history, sponsorship, and lived everyday life makes the location so tangible for patients and relatives. When I had surgery here, the nurses were playing the 'doctor' game by making me scream because of the pain by not giving me proper painkillers after kidney surgery. They literally tortured me by giving me no medicine. There is no doctor in the service area on weekends, and these nurses think they are the gods there. Most of them are not ethical and not well educated... (the doctors who performed the operations were good)

I was operated on here (I had a problem with my nose). The doctor is a real expert, and the nursing team was very helpful and really tried to make my recovery easier for me. Good food delivered on time, not too much, not too little, just enough. Very good impression. The location is also good - not far from the city center and train stations.
