Turn- und Sportgemeinschaft Wilhelmshöhe 1883 e.V. in Kassel: Profile and History

The official name Turn- und Sportgemeinschaft Wilhelmshöhe 1883 e.V. already points to the long history of the club. The statutes state that the TSG emerged from the merger of Tuspo Wilhelmshöhe 1883 e.V. and the Sports Club Wilhelmshöhe 06; the founding year remains 1883. The club is based in Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe and is registered in the club register of the Kassel District Court under the number 806. This is relevant for all those who are not only looking for a sports offer but also asking about the background, legal form, and local anchoring. Search terms with the full club name, with Kassel, or with the notation e.V. indicate that many users want to know exactly who is behind the TSG and what it stands for today. ([tsgwilhelmshoehe.de](https://tsgwilhelmshoehe.de/verein/satzung/?utm_source=openai))

The history shows that the club has grown over decades and has continually added new branches. According to the club's chronicle, the handball department was founded in 1924, followed by the women's handball department in 1926, the Free Sports Association Wilhelmshöhe was established in 1945, the reunification of the two Wilhelmshöhe clubs occurred in 1962, the volleyball department was founded in 1968, and the sports facility Stockwiesen was handed over in 1975. Later, among others, the Stockwiesen clubhouse, tennis courts, Ju-Jutsu, badminton, athletics, and taekwondo were added. This development shows: The TSG is not just a static traditional club but an organization that has adapted to new needs over generations and thus continuously reaffirms its significance in the district. Sports Offers and Departments of TSG Wilhelmshöhe

The breadth of the sports offer is one of the strongest reasons why TSG Wilhelmshöhe is searched for online. The homepage already lists ten different departments and emphasizes fitness, health, and team sports for all age groups. In the navigation and city directory of the city of Kassel, one can find, among others, badminton, footvolley, volleyball, handball, soccer, and tennis as well as gymnastics, fitness, rehabilitation sports, Ju-Jutsu, hiking, parkour, athletics, hip-hop, gymnastics, and children's gymnastics. Additionally, there are numerous special formats in the area of fitness and health aimed at adults, seniors, or families. For the search intent, this means: Those who access the club expect not only an address but a real world of offerings with different training times, target groups, and sports facilities. This variety makes TSG particularly relevant for inquiries about sports clubs in Kassel, sports offers, and membership. ([tsgwilhelmshoehe.de](https://tsgwilhelmshoehe.de/))

Particularly striking is the mix of classic club sports and modern movement formats. The homepage refers to Pilates, Tabata, yoga, contemporary dance, and Zumba in the area of fitness specials, while the flyer additionally lists offers such as belly dance, senior gymnastics, movement meetings, spinal gymnastics, power walking, meditative walking, Pilates variants, and foot volleyball. The spectrum is also large for children and teenagers: parent-child gymnastics, tumble kids, children's gymnastics, hip-hop, young and fit, parkour, power workout for girls, Ju-Jutsu, and taekwondo are mentioned in the official documents. This not only shows diversity but also a clear family and intergenerational orientation. The club is thus interesting for both beginners and long-standing members looking for a place where movement, health, and community come together. ([tsgwilhelmshoehe.de](https://tsgwilhelmshoehe.de/))

Tennis Courts, Guests, and Booking at the Bergpark Route

A separate chapter deserves the tennis department because it is the most important detail page of the club for many search queries. According to the official website, tennis at TSG is practiced as a leisure and hobby sport for adults. The three sand courts, surrounded by trees, are located directly at the final stop of tram line 1 at Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe, making it a location that is both practical and scenically attractive. Guests can book a court without membership, which makes the facility accessible to occasional players. The courts are open from April 22; the court rental fee is 16 euros per hour for guests, 12 euros per hour for members of other TSG departments, and 0 euros per hour for members of the tennis department. For those searching for tennis, court booking, or guest usage, this is a very clear and user-friendly structure. ([tsgwilhelmshoehe.de](https://tsgwilhelmshoehe.de/sportangebot/tennis/))

The playing rules and booking are also transparently described. The courts may only be used with tennis shoes, and no motor vehicles should be parked on the accesses and supply routes of the tennis facility, as these areas are exclusively intended for servicing and disposal vehicles. Online bookings are possible via the booking platform according to the club's website; members of the tennis department can register and book free of charge, while guests pay the fee via PayPal. Members of other TSG departments receive the reduced price after registration. These rules are important because they not only create order but also show that the club actively organizes the facility and clearly regulates its use for different groups. Combined with the location at tram line 1, this results in a sports facility that is particularly well-suited for spontaneous and planned game dates. ([tsgwilhelmshoehe.de](https://tsgwilhelmshoehe.de/sportangebot/tennis/))

Directions, Public Transport, and Parking around the Office and Sports Facilities

For local findability, the exact address of the office is particularly important: Kirchditmolder Straße 46, 34131 Kassel. The opening hours are Monday from 9:00 to 12:00, Wednesday from 9:00 to 12:00, Thursday from 17:00 to 18:00, and Friday from 9:00 to 11:00. The city of Kassel lists the same location in the club directory and also provides a geoportal, route planner, and public transport connections. This is useful for people looking for directions, contact information, or visiting hours. Since TSG trains at several locations, the journey varies depending on the department but is always clearly documented. For example, the tennis facility is located on line 1, while other offers take place in the sports hall Bad Wilhelmshöhe, in the reform school, in the clubhouse, or at other training locations. ([tsgwilhelmshoehe.de](https://tsgwilhelmshoehe.de/))

When it comes to parking, a close look at the respective sport is advisable. For the tennis facility, the club explicitly points out not to park vehicles on the accesses and supply routes of the facility. The current club flyer mentions the parking lot TSG Wilhelmshöhe at Stockwiesen as a meeting point for the movement meeting, showing that the club also uses its own meeting points and open spaces. For some departments, the offer pages also provide very specific public transport tips, such as tram 3, 4, 7, or various bus lines at the sports hall Bad Wilhelmshöhe. So those looking for parking, directions, or public transport in the vicinity of TSG should not only keep an eye on the main address but also always consider the department or the specific offer, as the training locations may differ. This differentiated structure makes the page practical when one wants to quickly and directly reach the right place. ([tsgwilhelmshoehe.de](https://tsgwilhelmshoehe.de/sportangebot/tennis/))

Membership, Office, and Club Service

The TSG Wilhelmshöhe is well positioned not only in sports but also organizationally. On the homepage, the club refers to an app through which members can make personal changes, upload or download documents and notices, and communicate directly with trainers. There are also clear indications regarding membership, job board, and office. For interested parties, this is important because the club not only offers training but also service around administration and communication. Those looking for membership can find direct entry points on the website and can contact the club by phone at 0561 34395 or by email at info@tsgwilhelmshoehe.de. The combination of digital access and personal reachability makes the club particularly user-friendly. ([tsgwilhelmshoehe.de](https://tsgwilhelmshoehe.de/))

The external presentation is also modern, without losing the club's established identity. The club describes itself as a community engaged in sports and society in the district, maintaining traditions while being open to new ideas. This fits perfectly with the local profile in Bad Wilhelmshöhe: a club with a long history but with a program that is still adapted to current needs today. This includes offers for training groups, courses with additional fees in the area of fitness specials, and the active search for trainers and department heads. So those looking for TSG Wilhelmshöhe often seek more than just a sports field - namely a place for committed membership, regular participation, and an environment that takes club life seriously. This mix of stability, openness, and good organization is a central part of TSG's brand image. ([tsgwilhelmshoehe.de](https://tsgwilhelmshoehe.de/verein/ueber-uns/))

Fitness, Rehabilitation Sports, and Offers for Children, Teenagers, and Seniors

In the area of fitness and health, TSG Wilhelmshöhe particularly clearly shows how broadly the club is positioned. The fitness special offer includes, according to the website, Pilates, Tabata, yoga, contemporary dance, and Zumba; the flyer adds further formats such as belly dance, back fitness, senior gymnastics, senior sports, spinal gymnastics, fit and fun, hula-hoop dance, power walking, meditative walking, and various Pilates courses. For this area, in addition to the club fee, a small additional fee of 5 euros per month applies, provided that space availability allows it. Thus, TSG offers not only classic team sports but also a structured movement program for people who want to work on endurance, strength, flexibility, coordination, or general well-being. This is a strong argument, especially for inquiries related to fitness, health, and senior offers. ([tsgwilhelmshoehe.de](https://tsgwilhelmshoehe.de/))

Particularly valuable is also the rehabilitation sports area. According to the official rehabilitation sports page, TSG offers group activities for movement, sports, and play in breast cancer aftercare as well as rehabilitation sports for back and joints; these offers are certified by the Hessian Disabled and Rehabilitation Sports Association. Rehabilitation sports can be prescribed by a doctor with the appropriate diagnosis, does not burden the remedy budget, and allows non-members to participate free of charge for the duration of the prescription with approved orders. For many affected individuals, this is a central point because the path back to movement is thus professionally supported and financially accessible. Additionally, the club mentions offers in the children and youth area starting from toddler age, such as parent and child, tumble kids, children's gymnastics, swimming for beginners, soccer, handball, athletics, taekwondo, and parkour. TSG is thus a club that creates suitable movement spaces in all phases of life. ([tsgwilhelmshoehe.de](https://tsgwilhelmshoehe.de/sportangebot/rehasport/?utm_source=openai))

I've gone to the sports field a few times to throw some discs (Disc Golf training) from the halfway line towards the goal. I thought it wouldn't bother anyone. But now I've been kicked off the field twice without any explanation. I don't understand why it bothers people. Now I'm going to VFL Kirchditmold. They're much more relaxed there 😊

Good club, many volunteers, the club structures could be more relaxed and the children's and youth work should be given a higher priority.
